A box plot has minimum 2, lower quartile 6, median 12, upper quartile 15 and maximum 22. Work out the interquartile range.
- 2Bounds2 marks
A mass is 70 kg, correct to the nearest 10. Write down the upper bound.
- 3Drawing Other Graphs: Cubic/Reciprocal2 marks
For the curve y = -2/x, work out y when x = -1, and write down the equation of its vertical asymptote.
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 4, y = 80. Work out y when x = 7.
- 5Similar Shapes (Area and Volume)3 marks
Two similar solids have lengths in the ratio 1 : 3. The larger has a volume of 459 cm^3. Work out the volume of the smaller.
