In triangle ABC, angle A is 30°, angle B is 55° and side a is 5 cm. Use the sine rule to work out side b, to 1 decimal place.
- 2Venn Diagrams3 marks
In a Venn diagram, 12 are in A only, 6 in B only, 12 in both and 3 in neither. Work out the probability a random one is in both.
- 3Cumulative Frequency2 marks
Four classes in order have frequencies 5, 7, 12, 6. Write down the cumulative frequency at the end of the third class.
- 4Reverse Percentages3 marks
A bill is £864 including VAT at 20%. Work out the amount before VAT.
- 5Expanding and Factorising Quadratics3 marks
Factorise x^2 - 5x - 6.
