a is the column vector (-3, -3) and b is (-1, -4). Work out 4a - 3b as a column vector.
- 3Probability Trees3 marks
7 of 9 bulbs in a box are faulty. Two are taken with replacement. Work out the probability at least one is faulty.
- 4Cumulative Frequency2 marks
Four classes in order have frequencies 3, 7, 5, 7. Write down the cumulative frequency at the end of the third class.
- 5Reverse Percentages3 marks
A bill is £768 including VAT at 20%. Work out the amount before VAT.
