- 1Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 11, lower quartile 21, median 31, upper quartile 40 and maximum 45. Work out the interquartile range.
- 2Surds2 marks
Write sqrt(32) in the form a sqrt(b), where b is as small as possible.
- 3Parallel and Perpendicular Lines3 marks
A line has equation y = 2x + 5. Work out the gradient of any line perpendicular to it.
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 5, y = 100. Work out y when x = 9.
- 5Enlarging with Negative Scale Factors3 marks
The point (1, -1) is enlarged by scale factor -2 about the centre (-3, -3). Write down the coordinates of the image.
