y is inversely proportional to x. When x = 8, y = 12. Work out y when x = 6.
- 2Similar Shapes (Area and Volume)3 marks
Two similar shapes have lengths in the ratio 1 : 4. The smaller has an area of 16 cm^2. Work out the area of the larger.
- 3Conditional Probability3 marks
27 students study Spanish and 7 of those also study Art. One Spanish student is picked at random. Work out the probability they study Art.
- 4Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 38. Work out the range.
- 5Surds2 marks
Write sqrt(20) in the form a sqrt(b), where b is as small as possible.
