Work out the equation of the line parallel to y = -2x + 9 that passes through (1, 10).
- 2Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 2, y = 20. Work out y when x = 6.
- 3SOHCAHTOA (Trigonometry)3 marks
A right-angled triangle has sides 8 cm, 15 cm and 17 cm. Work out the angle opposite the 8 cm side, to 1 decimal place.
- 4Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 3 red and 9 blue counters. Two are taken without replacement. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 5, lower quartile 7, median 9, upper quartile 14 and maximum 21. Work out the interquartile range.
