y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 4, y = 96. Work out y when x = 8.
- 2Spheres and Cones3 marks
A sphere has radius 9 cm. Work out its volume, leaving your answer in terms of pi.
- 3Probability Trees3 marks
4 of 10 bulbs in a box are faulty. Two are taken with replacement. Work out the probability at least one is faulty.
- 4Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 7, lower quartile 16, median 25, upper quartile 31 and maximum 35. Work out the interquartile range.
- 5Surds2 marks
Write sqrt(75) in the form a sqrt(b), where b is as small as possible.
