- 1Capture Recapture2 marks
A capture-recapture estimate is made of the ladybird population of a garden. State one assumption the method relies on.
- 2Fractional and Negative Indices3 marks
Work out 27^(2/3).
- 3Parallel and Perpendicular Lines3 marks
A line has equation y = 3x + 8. Work out the gradient of any line perpendicular to it.
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion3 marks
y is directly proportional to x. When x = 4, y = 48. Work out y when x = 11.
- 5Enlarging with Negative Scale Factors3 marks
The point (4, -1) is enlarged by scale factor -1 about the centre (2, -1). Write down the coordinates of the image.
