- 1Enlarging with Negative Scale Factors3 marks
The point (0, -3) is enlarged by scale factor -1 about the centre (4, -3). Write down the coordinates of the image.
- 2Venn Diagrams3 marks
In a Venn diagram, 16 are in A only, 6 in B only, 5 in both and 2 in neither. Work out the probability a random one is in both.
- 3Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 2, lower quartile 8, median 10, upper quartile 17 and maximum 24. Work out the interquartile range.
- 4Reverse Percentages3 marks
A bill is £912 including VAT at 20%. Work out the amount before VAT.
- 5Parallel and Perpendicular Lines3 marks
A line has equation y = -3x + 9. Work out the gradient of any line perpendicular to it.
