y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 2, y = 24. Work out y when x = 9.
- 2Sector Areas and Arc Lengths3 marks
A sector of a circle has radius 12 cm and angle 300°. Work out its area, to 1 decimal place.
- 3Conditional Probability3 marks
12 students study Spanish and 3 of those also study Art. One Spanish student is picked at random. Work out the probability they study Art.
- 4Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 5, lower quartile 7, median 10, upper quartile 13 and maximum 17. Work out the interquartile range.
- 5Standard Form3 marks
Work out (6 x 10^6) / (2 x 10^3). Give your answer in standard form.
