Every sheet in February 2018
The same date always regenerates the same five questions, so a sheet you print today is the sheet a classmate prints tomorrow.
- 1st February 2018A histogram class is 4 units wide and contains 6 values. Work out the frequency density.
- 2nd February 2018A code is 3 letters (A to Z) followed by 4 digits (0 to 9), and repeats are allowed. How many codes are possible?
- 3rd February 2018Expand and simplify (x - 3)(x - 2)(x - 3).
- 4th February 2018y is inversely proportional to x. When x = 9, y = 40. Work out y when x = 10.
- 5th February 2018A cone has base radius 3 cm and vertical height 15 cm. Work out its volume, leaving your answer in terms of pi.
- 6th February 201815 students study Spanish and 11 of those also study Art. One Spanish student is picked at random. Work out the probability they study Art.
- 7th February 2018Four classes in order have frequencies 5, 6, 6, 12. Write down the cumulative frequency at the end of the third class.
- 8th February 2018Work out (72 x 10^8) / (8 x 10^3). Give your answer in standard form.
- 9th February 2018Make x the subject of y = 7x^2 - 9.
- 10th February 2018y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 5, y = 175. Work out y when x = 3.
- 11th February 2018In triangle ABC, angle A is 78°, angle B is 33° and side a is 14 cm. Use the sine rule to work out side b, to 1 decimal place.
- 12th February 20188 of 10 bulbs in a box are faulty. Two are taken with replacement. Work out the probability at least one is faulty.
- 13th February 201835 beetles are marked and released. Later 44 are caught, of which 4 are marked. Estimate the population.
- 14th February 2018Write the recurring decimal 0.888... as a fraction in its simplest form.
- 15th February 2018Factorise x^2 - 9.
- 16th February 2018y is directly proportional to x. When x = 5, y = 15. Work out y when x = 12.
- 17th February 2018A right-angled triangle has sides 10 cm, 24 cm and 26 cm. Work out the angle opposite the 10 cm side, to 1 decimal place.
- 18th February 201824 students study Spanish and 4 of those also study Art. One Spanish student is picked at random. Work out the probability they study Art.
