A box plot has minimum 15, lower quartile 21, median 30, upper quartile 36 and maximum 40. Work out the interquartile range.
- 2Recurring Decimals to Fractions3 marks
Write the recurring decimal 0.6565... as a fraction in its simplest form.
- 3Parallel and Perpendicular Lines3 marks
A line has equation y = 5x + 1. Work out the gradient of any line perpendicular to it.
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 5, y = 200. Work out y when x = 8.
- 5Enlarging with Negative Scale Factors3 marks
The point (5, -5) is enlarged by scale factor -3 about the centre (-3, 4). Write down the coordinates of the image.
