A box plot has minimum 9, lower quartile 18, median 26, upper quartile 34 and maximum 42. Work out the interquartile range.
- 3Recurring Decimals to Fractions3 marks
Write the recurring decimal 0.444... as a fraction in its simplest form.
- 4Quadratic Formula3 marks
Work out the discriminant of 2x^2 - 5x + 6 = 0 and say how many real solutions it has.
- 5Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 3, y = 81. Work out y when x = 2.
