y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 5, y = 75. Work out y when x = 6.
- 2Sector Areas and Arc Lengths3 marks
A sector of a circle has radius 14 cm and angle 45°. Work out its area, to 1 decimal place.
- 3Conditional Probability3 marks
17 students study Spanish and 4 of those also study Art. One Spanish student is picked at random. Work out the probability they study Art.
- 4Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 2, lower quartile 12, median 14, upper quartile 20 and maximum 29. Work out the interquartile range.
- 5Surds2 marks
Write sqrt(27) in the form a sqrt(b), where b is as small as possible.
