y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 5, y = 150. Work out y when x = 7.
- 2Similar Shapes (Area and Volume)3 marks
Two similar shapes have lengths in the ratio 1 : 4. The smaller has an area of 25 cm^2. Work out the area of the larger.
- 3Conditional Probability3 marks
16 students study Spanish and 6 of those also study Art. One Spanish student is picked at random. Work out the probability they study Art.
- 4Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 4, lower quartile 12, median 21, upper quartile 25 and maximum 34. Work out the interquartile range.
- 5Fractional and Negative Indices2 marks
Write 8^-2 as a fraction.
