For the curve y = 25/x, work out y when x = 5, and write down the equation of its vertical asymptote.
- 2Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 2, y = 12. Work out y when x = 4.
- 3Similar Shapes (Area and Volume)3 marks
Two similar solids have lengths in the ratio 1 : 2. The larger has a volume of 320 cm^3. Work out the volume of the smaller.
- 4Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 5 red and 6 blue counters. Two are taken without replacement. Work out the probability both are red.
- 5Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 1, lower quartile 3, median 12, upper quartile 17 and maximum 27. Work out the interquartile range.
