y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 2, y = 24. Work out y when x = 3.

A right-angled triangle has a hypotenuse of 21 cm and an angle of 62°. Work out the side adjacent to that angle, to 1 decimal place.
- 3Probability Trees3 marks
8 of 10 bulbs in a box are faulty. Two are taken with replacement. Work out the probability at least one is faulty.
- 4Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 2, lower quartile 4, median 11, upper quartile 20 and maximum 30. Work out the interquartile range.
- 5Recurring Decimals to Fractions3 marks
Write the recurring decimal 0.111... as a fraction in its simplest form.
