For the curve y = x^2 - x - 3, work out y when x = -4.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 5, y = 175. Work out y when x = 4.

A sector of a circle has radius 6 cm and angle 180°. Work out its area, to 1 decimal place.
- 5Conditional Probability3 marks
24 students study Spanish and 7 of those also study Art. One Spanish student is picked at random. Work out the probability they study Art.
