A box plot has minimum 2, lower quartile 12, median 14, upper quartile 20 and maximum 30. Work out the interquartile range.
- 3Fractional and Negative Indices2 marks
Write 5^-1 as a fraction.
- 4Quadratic Formula3 marks
Use the quadratic formula to solve 2x^2 + 9x + 8 = 0, to 2 decimal places.
- 5Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 5, y = 75. Work out y when x = 7.
