Write sqrt(98) in the form a sqrt(b), where b is as small as possible.
- 4Quadratic Formula3 marks
Work out the discriminant of x^2 - 3x + 9 = 0 and say how many real solutions it has.
- 5Direct and Inverse Proportion3 marks
y is directly proportional to x. When x = 3, y = 12. Work out y when x = 4.
