A box plot has minimum 2, lower quartile 8, median 12, upper quartile 19 and maximum 26. Work out the interquartile range.
- 2Surds2 marks
Write sqrt(75) in the form a sqrt(b), where b is as small as possible.
- 3Parallel and Perpendicular Lines3 marks
A line has equation y = -4x + 3. Work out the gradient of any line perpendicular to it.
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 5, y = 225. Work out y when x = 6.
- 5Enlarging with Negative Scale Factors3 marks
The point (5, -5) is enlarged by scale factor -1 about the centre (2, 1). Write down the coordinates of the image.
