Two similar solids have lengths in the ratio 1 : 3. The larger has a volume of 405 cm^3. Work out the volume of the smaller.
- 2Probability Trees3 marks
A bag holds 4 red and 4 blue counters. Two are taken without replacement. Work out the probability both are red.
- 3Cumulative Frequency2 marks
Four classes in order have frequencies 12, 3, 12, 12. Write down the cumulative frequency at the end of the third class.
- 4Surds2 marks
Write sqrt(20) in the form a sqrt(b), where b is as small as possible.
- 5Drawing Other Graphs: Cubic/Reciprocal2 marks
For the curve y = 20/x, work out y when x = -2, and write down the equation of its vertical asymptote.
