Factorise x^2 + x - 42.

y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 2, y = 16. Work out y when x = 9.
- 3The Sine Rule3 marks
In triangle ABC, angle A is 36°, angle B is 41° and side a is 5 cm. Use the sine rule to work out side b, to 1 decimal place.
- 4Venn Diagrams3 marks
In a Venn diagram, 10 are in A only, 16 in B only, 2 in both and 3 in neither. Work out the probability a random one is in both.
- 5Box Plots2 marks
A box plot has minimum 13, lower quartile 20, median 26, upper quartile 34 and maximum 42. Work out the interquartile range.
