Daily Practice - GCSE Science
Biology, chemistry and physics recall, definition and calculation, drawn from every strand.
10th December 2015
- 1Chemical Changes
State the pH value of a neutral solution.
- 2Reactivity, Acids and Salts
State what is observed when magnesium ribbon is added to copper sulfate solution.
- 3Electrolysis
Aqueous copper sulfate solution is electrolysed using inert graphite electrodes. State the products formed at (a) the cathode and (b) the anode, giving a reason for each.
- 4Energy Changes
Using the values in the previous question, calculate the overall energy change for the reaction.
- 5Exothermic and Endothermic Reactions
On a reaction profile diagram, the reactants are drawn at a higher energy level than the products. State whether the reaction is exothermic or endothermic.
