- 1Motion: Speed, Velocity and Acceleration
A ball decelerates uniformly from 18 m/s to 0 m/s over a distance of 2.7 m while being caught. Using (final velocity)^2 = (initial velocity)^2 + 2 x acceleration x distance, calculate its deceleration.
- 2Forces, Newton's Laws and Momentum
A resultant force of 60 N acts on a wheelbarrow of mass 15 kg. Calculate its acceleration.
- 3Pressure, Moments and Levers
A spanner is used to loosen a bolt. Explain why using a longer spanner makes it easier to loosen the bolt.
- 4Waves
A radio wave has a wavelength of 3 m. Calculate its frequency, given that all electromagnetic waves travel at 3 x 10^8 m/s in a vacuum.
- 5Wave Properties and Behaviour
A wave has a period of 0.005 s. Calculate its frequency.
