A pupil measures a mass of 3.5 kg on a set of scales. Convert this mass to grams.

A student reads the volume of liquid in a measuring cylinder. The bottom of the meniscus lines up exactly halfway between the 22 cm^3 and 24 cm^3 graduation marks. State the volume of liquid.

Before starting a watering investigation, a pupil writes this prediction: a plant given more water each day will grow taller than one given less water. State one piece of scientific reasoning that could support this prediction.
