Daily Practice - 13+ Common Entrance
Common Entrance english, maths and science.
29th June 2015
- 1Chemistry: Metals, the Reactivity Series and Environmental Chemistry
In the reactivity series, state which is more reactive: zinc or copper.
- 2Physics: Forces and Energy
A trolley of mass 20 kg is pushed with a resultant force of 60 N. Use force = mass x acceleration to calculate its acceleration.
- 3Physics: Electricity, Magnetism and Waves
A wave has a frequency of 50 Hz and a wavelength of 4 m. Use wave speed = frequency x wavelength to calculate its speed.
- 4Physics: Light, Sound and Space
Put these bodies in order of their distance from the Sun, starting with the closest: Mars, Mercury, Earth, Venus.
- 5Physics: Forces, Motion and Energy Resources
A car's velocity increases from 5 m/s to 17 m/s in 4 seconds. Use acceleration = change in velocity / time taken to calculate its acceleration.
