- 1Surds3 marks
Simplify sqrt(18) + sqrt(2), giving your answer in the form a sqrt(b).
- 2Trigonometric and Exponential Graphs2 marks
The curve y = sin x° is drawn for 0 <= x <= 360. Write down the value of y when x = 360.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to sqrt(x). When x = 49, y = 21. Work out y when x = 25.
- 4Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 8 cm and 6 cm and an area of 16.97 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 12 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 5/33. Work out r.
