Simplify sqrt(45) + sqrt(45), giving your answer in the form a sqrt(b).
- 2Transforming Graphs y=f(x)3 marks
The point (3, 5) lies on y = f(x). Write down its image on y = f(x) + 5.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is inversely proportional to x^2. When x = 2, y = 100. Work out y when x = 5.
- 4The Cosine Rule3 marks
A triangle has sides of 5 cm and 14 cm with an angle of 48° between them. Work out the third side, to 1 decimal place.
- 5Conditional Probability3 marks
