- 1Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 530 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 23 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 2Inverse and Composite Functions3 marks
f(x) = 6x + 7 and g(x) = 5x - 3. Work out fg(6).
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to sqrt(x). When x = 49, y = 14. Work out y when x = 4.
- 4Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 9 cm and 6 cm and an area of 27.00 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 10 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 7/15. Work out r.
