- 1Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 600 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 16 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 2The Nth Term of a Quadratic Sequence2 marks
A quadratic sequence starts -1, 1, 5, 11. Work out the second difference, and the coefficient of n^2.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is inversely proportional to x^2. When x = 2, y = 36. Work out y when x = 6.
- 4Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 9 cm and 14 cm and an area of 54.56 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 12 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 15/22. Work out r.
