- 1Conditional Probability3 marks
A bag holds 5 red and 6 blue counters. Two are taken without replacement. Given the first was red, what is the probability the second is blue?
- 2Histograms3 marks
On a histogram the bar for 30 < x <= 50 has a frequency density of 0.4. How many values are in that class?
- 3Bounds3 marks
x = 159 and y = 51, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.
- 4Proof3 marks
Prove that the sum of 7 consecutive integers is always a multiple of 7. State the simplified sum you would use.
- 5Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^3. When x = 4, y = 256. Work out y when x = 5.
