- 3The Nth Term of a Quadratic Sequence2 marks
A quadratic sequence starts 0, 5, 14, 27. Work out the second difference, and the coefficient of n^2.
- 4Velocity Time Graphs2 marks
On a velocity-time graph a car speeds up in a straight line from 8 m/s to 18 m/s over 20 seconds. Work out the acceleration.
- 5Perpendicular Lines and the equation of a tangent3 marks
The point (12, 16) lies on the circle x^2 + y^2 = 400. Work out the gradient of the tangent to the circle at that point.
