- 1Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that the alternate segment theorem is being proved. State the reason being quoted.
- 2Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 11 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 6/55. Work out r.
- 3Histograms3 marks
A histogram has two bars: one 10 units wide with frequency density 2.5, one 5 units wide with density 0.6. How many values in total?
- 4Bounds3 marks
x = 65 and y = 44, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.
- 5Quadratic Simultaneous Equations3 marks
Solve x^2 + y^2 = 225 and y = x + 3 simultaneously.
