- 1Histograms3 marks
A histogram has two bars: one 10 units wide with frequency density 1.2, one 5 units wide with density 0.6. How many values in total?
- 2Surds3 marks
Simplify sqrt(32) + sqrt(8), giving your answer in the form a sqrt(b).
- 3Inverse and Composite Functions3 marks
f(x) = 3x + 4 and g(x) = 4x + 8. Work out fg(-2).
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 3, y = 18. Work out the positive value of x when y = 8.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that OA and OB are both radii of the circle, so triangle OAB is isosceles. State the reason being quoted.
