- 1Histograms3 marks
A histogram has two bars: one 5 units wide with frequency density 1.5, one 10 units wide with density 0.8. How many values in total?
- 2Surds3 marks
Expand and simplify (5 + sqrt(7))(5 - sqrt(7)).
- 3Proof3 marks
Prove that the sum of 4 consecutive integers is always a multiple of 2. State the simplified sum you would use.
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 2, y = 8. Work out the positive value of x when y = 98.
- 5Vectors Proof Questions3 marks
In a vector proof you find that vector PQ = 2a + 6b and vector RS = 8a + 24b. What does this show about PQ and RS?
