- 1Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 650 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 10 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 2Transforming Graphs y=f(x)3 marks
The point (-4, -5) lies on y = f(x). Write down its image on y = f(x) - 5.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^3. When x = 3, y = 81. Work out y when x = 5.
- 4The Cosine Rule3 marks
A triangle has sides 24 cm, 16 cm and 10 cm. Work out the angle opposite the 24 cm side, to 1 decimal place.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 8 red and n blue counters. The probability of taking a red is 8/15. Work out n.
