- 1Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that a triangle is drawn from the ends of a diameter to a point on the circle. State the reason being quoted.
- 2Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 8 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 1/28. Work out r.
- 3Histograms2 marks
On a histogram, a 10-wide bar and a 30-wide bar have the same frequency density of 3. How many more values are in the wider class?
- 4Bounds3 marks
x = 145 and y = 64, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.
- 5Inverse and Composite Functions3 marks
f(x) = 3x + 5 and g(x) = 2x + 3. Work out fg(4).
