A quadratic sequence starts 12, 27, 52, 87. Work out the second difference, and the coefficient of n^2.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^3. When x = 3, y = 54. Work out y when x = 4.
- 4The Cosine Rule3 marks
A triangle has sides 10 cm, 7 cm and 15 cm. Work out the angle opposite the 10 cm side, to 1 decimal place.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 5 red and n blue counters. The probability of taking a red is 5/13. Work out n.
