- 1Histograms2 marks
On a histogram, a 5-wide bar and a 20-wide bar have the same frequency density of 2. How many more values are in the wider class?
- 2Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 280 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 25 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 3Inverse and Composite Functions3 marks
f(x) = 2x - 9 and g(x) = 6x + 2. Work out fg(-1).
- 4Velocity Time Graphs3 marks
A tram runs at 11 m/s for 30 s, then slows steadily to rest over 4 s. Work out its average speed for the whole journey, to 2 decimal places.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that two tangents are drawn to a circle from the same external point. State the reason being quoted.
