- 1Histograms3 marks
A histogram has two bars: one 5 units wide with frequency density 0.4, one 5 units wide with density 0.6. How many values in total?
- 2Surds3 marks
Simplify sqrt(27) + sqrt(3), giving your answer in the form a sqrt(b).
- 3Iteration3 marks
Use the iteration x(n+1) = cube root of (3x(n) + 3) with x(0) = 4. Work out x(1) to 3 decimal places.
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 6, y = 72. Work out the positive value of x when y = 18.
- 5Vectors Proof Questions3 marks
In a vector proof you find that vector PQ = 3a + 5b and vector RS = 15a + 25b. What does this show about PQ and RS?
