- 1Histograms2 marks
On a histogram, a 5-wide bar and a 10-wide bar have the same frequency density of 3. How many more values are in the wider class?
- 2Bounds3 marks
A block has mass 260 g (to the nearest 10 g) and volume 10 cm^3 (to the nearest cm^3). Work out the upper bound of its density, to 2 decimal places.
- 3Algebraic Fractions3 marks
Simplify (x^2 - 12x + 32)/(x - 4).
- 4Velocity Time Graphs3 marks
A cyclist speeds up steadily from 8 m/s to 28 m/s over 6 seconds. Use the area under the velocity-time graph to find the distance travelled.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that the exterior angle of a cyclic quadrilateral is being found. State the reason being quoted.
