- 1Bounds3 marks
A rectangle is 22 cm by 11 cm, each correct to the nearest cm. Work out the upper bound of its area.
- 2Transforming Graphs y=f(x)3 marks
The point (-3, -5) lies on y = f(x). Write down its image on y = f(x) - 2.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to sqrt(x). When x = 16, y = 32. Work out y when x = 9.
- 4The Cosine Rule3 marks
A triangle has sides 9 cm, 12 cm and 16 cm. Work out the angle opposite the 9 cm side, to 1 decimal place.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 7 red and n blue counters. The probability of taking a red is 7/10. Work out n.
