- 1Bounds3 marks
A car covers 470 m (to the nearest 10 m) in 6 s (to the nearest second). Work out the lower bound of its speed, to 2 decimal places.
- 2Proof3 marks
Prove that the sum of 5 consecutive integers is always a multiple of 5. State the simplified sum you would use.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is inversely proportional to x^2. When x = 5, y = 12. Work out y when x = 2.
- 4Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 12 cm and 8 cm and an area of 41.57 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 8 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 3/28. Work out r.
