- 1Histograms2 marks
On a histogram, a 10-wide bar and a 20-wide bar have the same frequency density of 3. How many more values are in the wider class?
- 2Bounds3 marks
A car covers 290 m (to the nearest 10 m) in 7 s (to the nearest second). Work out the lower bound of its speed, to 2 decimal places.
- 3The Nth Term of a Quadratic Sequence2 marks
A quadratic sequence starts -4, 2, 14, 32. Work out the second difference, and the coefficient of n^2.
- 4Velocity Time Graphs3 marks
A tram runs at 6 m/s for 30 s, then slows steadily to rest over 6 s. Work out its average speed for the whole journey, to 2 decimal places.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that the three angles of triangle OAB are being summed. State the reason being quoted.
