A car covers 250 m (to the nearest 10 m) in 6 s (to the nearest second). Work out the lower bound of its speed, to 2 decimal places.
- 3Inverse and Composite Functions3 marks
f(x) = 2x + 6. Work out the inverse function f^-1(x).
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 3, y = 63. Work out the positive value of x when y = 28.
- 53d Pythagoras and Trigonometry3 marks
A cuboid measures 11 cm by 11 cm by 14 cm. Work out the length of the longest diagonal inside it, to 1 decimal place.
