On a histogram, a 4-wide bar and a 12-wide bar have the same frequency density of 3. How many more values are in the wider class?

x = 123 and y = 89, each correct to the nearest whole number. Work out the upper bound of x - y.

Use the iteration x(n+1) = cube root of (3x(n) + 8) with x(0) = 4. Work out x(1) to 3 decimal places.
- 4Velocity Time Graphs3 marks
A tram runs at 9 m/s for 20 s, then slows steadily to rest over 10 s. Work out its average speed for the whole journey, to 2 decimal places.
- 5Proof of the Circle Theorems2 marks
In a circle theorem proof, a step uses the fact that two angles at the circumference stand on the same arc. State the reason being quoted.
