- 1Bounds3 marks
A rectangle is 24 cm by 27 cm, each correct to the nearest cm. Work out the upper bound of its area.
- 2Completing the Square3 marks
Work out the coordinates of the turning point of y = x^2 - 14x + 6.
- 3Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^3. When x = 3, y = 135. Work out y when x = 4.
- 4Finding the Area of Any Triangle3 marks
A triangle has sides of 6 cm and 8 cm and an area of 16.97 cm^2. Work out the acute angle between those two sides, to the nearest degree.
- 5Probability Equation Questions3 marks
A bag holds 5 counters, r of them red. Two are taken without replacement and P(both red) = 1/10. Work out r.
