A quadratic sequence starts 0, 7, 18, 33. Work out the second difference, and the coefficient of n^2.
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 6, y = 144. Work out the positive value of x when y = 16.
- 5Perpendicular Lines and the equation of a tangent3 marks
The point (3, 4) lies on the circle x^2 + y^2 = 25. Work out the gradient of the tangent to the circle at that point.
