A box plot has minimum 15, lower quartile 19, median 21, upper quartile 28 and maximum 30. Work out the interquartile range.
- 2Recurring Decimals to Fractions3 marks
Write the recurring decimal 0.4444... as a fraction in its simplest form.
- 3Drawing Other Graphs: Cubic/Reciprocal2 marks
For the curve y = -10/x, work out y when x = -2, and write down the equation of its vertical asymptote.
- 4Direct and Inverse Proportion Depth3 marks
y is directly proportional to x^2. When x = 6, y = 288. Work out y when x = 4.
- 5Similar Shapes (Area and Volume)3 marks
Two similar solids have lengths in the ratio 1 : 2. The larger has a volume of 112 cm^3. Work out the volume of the smaller.
